The Golf Slice

Updates have been lacking a bit lately because I’m actually playing golf now. With the better weather here, I’ve managed to go out a few times this year and I got off to a really rocky start. In a nice bit of irony, I’ve developed a bit of a slice over the winter downtime.

Each nine I played over the last two weeks has been better and better so I’m encouraged that I can get my golf game back on track. I’m hitting my four iron with a lot of improved distance and accuracy so far which I think is much more telling than my temporary slice problem.

I definitely need to hit the driving range more this summer though. I don’t feel like I can get out to play a round consistently enough to maintain a proper swing. I’m going to make an effort over the next few months to hit the range.

I hate the winter.

I’ve been suffering from a nasty case of the flu since about Saturday so it’s been tough to find motivation to post right now.

I did manage to get out this week’s edition of the newsletter though.

I’ll try and get back into the swing of things tomorrow so expect regular posting to resume then.

It’s winter here in Ohio. On Thursday morning it was zero degrees outside but this weekend things are starting to warm up. It’s almost 30 outside right now. That’s practically springtime weather around here.

What I’m saying is… I miss golf.

As you can tell, I went ahead and just made changes to the default theme instead of installing a brand new one. I’m now including images with most of the posts too.

The new theme just wasn’t working out behind-the-scenes so I’m scrapping it for now. I was fooling with it throughout the morning with no luck. Maybe I’ll try it again in the future.

Regular posting should resume tomorrow.

I’ve got a new theme for The Golf Slice in the works. Hopefully it’ll be up and running in the next day or two but in the meantime you’ll have to settle with the default theme I’m using now.

When the new theme goes live I’ll start adding some photos and pictures to the posts here. And we’ll have a much more interesting sidebar with golf related links for you to check out.
